Tateline

Tateline was the worst chat program ever. Well, not really, but text scrolling was a huge issue in the earliest versions, and development ceased soon after a proof of concept was done.

Two things contributed to the abandonment of this project:

• The Classic MacOS “Toolbox” GUI library was complete junk
• FutureBASIC wasn't mature enough to write a chat client in. (The networking library was experimental at best.)

However, that being said, it did sport one unique feature- it was the only client for its protocol that ran on 68K macs without OpenTransport.

There's no download for this program. But beware, the program may eventually make a comeback as Tateline ][ : Son of Tateline.
